challenge:
Clients’ office was in a Wilshire hi-rise with a modeling agency in it. They loved the sleek style in the modeling agency but their office had space limitations, lighting issues (due to the nature of the profession—eye treatment and surgery), and extremely high traffic consisting of small children and physically challenged adults, including wheel chairs.
solution:
Custom designed furniture included banquet seating with ottomans that easily moved to accommodate wheel-chair patients and those with canes. Highly durable outside fabric from Dohngia allowed a light color that stood up to clients’ traffic needs. Custom designed magazine cabinets with fluted glass housed all magazines and medical literature. Custom designed brushed nickel and mohagany finished accessories created stylized atmosphere inspired by modeling agency. Silk wall paper, arkwork and a HDTV helped decrease noise levels.

With trips to Egypt, Kenya, Peru and other exotic places, Evelyn is exploring the ancient roots of green and sharing those insights in design projects, consultations, workshops and speaking.
