challenge:
This client was truly a purist. A single male raw-foodist. He had very specific taste and a daily yoga ritual he dedicated his living room to. He did not want a traditional living room and comfort was not the objective.
solution:
Low VOC paint from ICI, created a tranquil palate. Organic gauze window treatments allowed an abundance of natural light with just enough privacy. Furniture and accessories from Palecek’s organic sustainable National Geographic Collection and JTA Diverse Furniture created an African atmosphere. Nubian Red marble replaced entry and fireplace added understated drama.

Always reinventing herself, Evelyn recently expanded her design practice to include green consulting and design and is a member of USGBC. big white moon is the name of this expanded endeavor. With trips to Egypt, Kenya, Peru and other exotic places, Evelyn is exploring the ancient roots of green and sharing those insights in design projects, consultations, workshops and speaking. Over the years Evelyn has committed to adding green elements to her interior design projects.
